Adjustable Descent Rate

The Figure 8 Descender keeps the line from an inadvertently girth-hitching uppermost bar, stranding climber. Center hole doubles as a belay plate. The end slot is for attaching carabiners for more safety.

Large Main Slot

The main slot is big enough for the operator to double or triple the single rope to increase friction. Hence, the operator is able to slow or stop descent with minimum force.
